Weekly Faves: December 1 – 7

Welcome to my first Weekly Faves post. You may have arrived here as part of a blog circle that I’m participating in, I’m shooting for taking a picture everyday, ideally with my actual camera, but sometimes that won’t happen and sometimes I won’t want to share the less inspiring ones!

This week, things have started to get a little Christmassy around here – personally, I’d be happy to decorate at the last minute but I have a couple of small people who disagree with this quite strongly so getting the place blinged up has been a major theme of the week. Which obviously gives me my yearly opportunity for my photo by fairy-light light…

We also decided to go away for a camping weekend (yes, in England … ) as the forecast was sunny. We’re not completely crazy as we have a camper van which affords us some protection from the cold and it was only slightly frosty this weekend.

Saturday was spent mostly at Oxburgh Hall, a beautiful moated manor house

With, for some reason, a metal swan…

On Sunday morning we went to the coast where my husband was kitesurfing, we played on the dunes and read books in the van.

Then in the afternoon, we visited Blickling Hall, which is beautifully decorated for Christmas. It looked stunning as dusk fell – my photograph doesn’t really do it justice but I didn’t have my tripod with me to get a better shot.

Thanks for looking at my faves this week! Enjoy the rest of the blog circle. You’re next scheduled stop is atย Random Little Faves
