Autumn Days: October

We had a lovely, warm October this year – ending up with the warmest Halloween for ever! Something like that, anyway. This all meant lots of fun for all the family:

An evening walk ending up in a country pub for dinner and Scrabble

A lovely sunny day and a walk around the pretty village of Kersey

A bracing but beautiful evening on the beach at Clacton on Sea

A fantastic weekend at the Virgin Kitesurfing Armada at Hayline Island on the south coast. My husband took part in the world record attempt to have the most kiters kiting over a one mile course. The original plan involved a much longer course, but the weather didn’t co-operate. We all waited and waited. And waited. And eventually the wind picked up and the armada set off – unfortunately, in the end there were eight kiters too few to get the record – 8!

A lovely walk around Petworth Park down in Sussex – we even got this close to a stag (I don’t have a super long lens!)

More kitesurfing, this time at Felixstowe Ferry on the Suffolk coast
